Ignis smiled even if Nida himself was frowning because it gave him the opportunity to have Noda all to himself all day. "Well now that you've gotten that message, are we changing plans in any way?"

It was a good thing he'd pointed this out now.

"How would you suggest changing them?" Nida asks, looking up at Ignis.

He doesn't say what he suspects. That this was Ignis's doing. Because honestly? It's too hot to judge the guy for it.

"Well we can have dinner together for one thing. Plus there'll be no need to rush about." That would give them time to just be out together and enjoy each other's company.

Oh. That sounded nice.

"Alright. I would like to have dinner with you. And a day."

Just strange to think that Ignis would want to spend that much of a day with him.

"As long as you don't have other plans." Ignis replied carefully. He certainly didn't want to come off like he was trying to hog all of Nida's time and attention away from anything else that might be important or otherwise that the man might want to do with a day free.

Manipulating all of someone's time and attention was never and would never be on his list of things to do.

"I had planned to work," Nida answered with a shrug. He finished his breakfast and smiled at the Royal Advisor.

"What about you?"

Ignis couldn't help but laugh a little. "Well that won't be an issue today." And of course he was happy about that. Still, he couldn't say anything about how it went down so he wouldn't.

"So you didn't have plans for today?" Nida asks, smirking just a little. Come on, Advisor, what is he taking you from?

"More meetings with His Majesty no doubt." Ignis replied with a shake of his head. Really they would've been boring because Noct probably stayed up way too late and even the Queen had trouble getting him out of bed sometimes.

And so much time would've been Ignis telling the king to focus.

"Well, I don't mind stealing you away from him," Nida admits. "If the King is sleeping, he's easier to protect."

Everyone knows that.

Ignis chuckled good humouredly. "Yes he would be frightfully easier to pick up and protect." And he could hear Noct's response to that. He never wanted to be the one to be protected but rather be the one to doing the protecting. But royal duty was royal duty which meant the king's safety came first above their own.

The King's safety was everything. Nida had sworn himself to the service of the King of Light. But his heart was not so fully decided.

"Now I'm just imagining you throwing High Majesty over your shoulder to take him to a meeting."

"I certainly would if the occasion called for it." Ignis replied. There was a smile on his face, but was totally serious. If that's what it took to protect the king, his advisor would do it without question or hesitation.

"And now I'm picturing it and Astrals know it's a great vision."

He does appreciate the image. And just smiles.

"So, we've eaten... Should we get moving?"

There was a smile because Ignis really would do what he said, but he knew Nida believed him. If Noctis needed to be carried like a sack of potatoes, then that would be a thing that happened.

Nodding to Nida now, the advisor got up. "Indeed. We've a full day ahead of us."

"I leave myself to your plans," he smiles, offering his arm out to the advisor.

"Wow me."

"That does indeed sound like a challenge." Ignis replied with a smile as he took Nida's arm. It was such a simple gesture and yet so very much to him. Chivalry and the art of being a gentleman hadn't died as he'd feared. In fact, with this man it felt very much alive and the advisor ate it all up.

"From what I understand, it's one that you can and will rise to," Nida counters, smiling to himself. Yes, this could go very well indeed.

Ignis coughed lightly wondering if there had been another intention set behind the 'occasion you can and will rise to' but he said nothing and just smiled smugly. "Of course I can." And with Noct otherwise occupied, it gave the advisor the day off so he was free to do what he wanted. Plus he'd secured his rare day off. It really wasn't so much that he couldn't have them it was moreover that he just worked.

As they got down to the car, the trunk was opened and he set his daypack in there with a smile. He really didn't know how to feel about this excursion other than nervous, but he would cover it.

Looking over at Nida he nodded. "Do you need to put anything back here while the trunk is open?"

"Well, I didn't really bring anything.

Seeing as he wasn't certain what this was all supposed to be, he hadn't bothered with packing for it.

Green eyes looked over at Nida. He himself had only packed Ebony's so that was about the extent of what Ignis had packed but he smiled. "That's perfectly fine. The water would be far too cold to dip into at this time of year. But if you wish to grab an extra coat if you want to walk near the water we can certainly wait to leave. The choice is yours."

The advisor thought a trip to the beach was fitting but if they were going to walk near the water itself more layers or extra warmth wouldn't hurt anything.

"Oh man, an extra coat," Nida says, that would be useful. But... "My apartment space is out of the way. Maybe we can stop somewhere quick?"

The Kingsglaive pay was more than sufficient to cover buying an extra coat.

"Are you sure you don't wish to just go get it?" This was asked before Nida had suggested stopping somewhere. And he had to think. "Well we can certainly stop somewhere in the Crown City or we the next nearest place that I know of is Lestallum."

It would be a long journey but they could head out there and stop for lunch and maybe do some shopping. Then they could come back to Galdin Quay and hit the beach and then have dinner there.

"Well, if you'll meet me down in the garage, I can run upstairs and grab by coat and try and meet you as quick as I can?"

IT just, he's so eager to have this day with Ignis, his crush for YEARS, the one that he might as well have considered as 'got away', and yet here they were, doing this.

"I can do that." Here he was quick to cut himself off from inviting himself along because that was downright rude. And he didn't want to do that. "There's no rush though since we have the entire day." And evening too but he didn't mention that in case it was too presumptuous.

Nida was so adorable and Ignis just wanted to spend the day holding hands and kissing but that wasn't much of a day really. So he just admired the other's handsome face and smiled at him.
