"My room," Nida agrees. Not waking up in his own bed would be more jarring than he could handle. It would feel... safer.

"As you wish." Ignis replied with a steadying breath. He saw some people as they passed by them to get to the elevator, but he had his advisor armor on and most people left him alone when he had that look to him.

Nida, however, wasn't really looking where they were going. His eyes were only for Ignis. And seeing the sternness of the advisor definitely made him frown.

"Did I upset you?"

That question shook him out of his work mode and he looked over at Nida. "No..not at all. Why do you ask?" It was odd that the man was wondering if he'd upset him. That absolutely wasn't the case and he just hoped that his resting mean face didn't throw the man off further.

[skyward_eyes]

"Your face was all angry," Nida explains, his fingers coming up to touch Ignis's face.

Resting mean face can be a problem.

Green eyes grew wide as Nida touched his face but it wasn't a bad thing. He'd merely been surprised and waited to see what would happen. In the end though Ignis just smiled and spoke softly. "I duly apologize for the confusion. I'm not angry at all, simply just concerned about getting you where it is that you wish to go."

"Oh," Nida says, sounding pleased. That's good to know.

"I think... I think I drank too much," he admits with a little giggle. Oops. It was really catching up now.

"Well you're excellent company." And if Nida hadn't been drinking, Ignis wouldn't have any of the insights he did. So at least on that count he was happy about it.

The elevator appeared and he pressed the door to close and the correct floor. It would probably be safest to see the man unlock his door and then Ignis would make his exit for the evening.

Then it was off to speak to Gladio.

Yes, that would be the safest. And the long walk to the door was one he was happy to have, because he could lean against Ignis, and it was nice. He felt supported. Really supported.

When they got to the door he fumbled out his keys and unlocked it. But he paused before heading in. Paused and he smiled.

"Ignis? Tomorrow?"

He did as he said he would and got Nida safely to his door. Once the keys hit the lock, the advisor knew his magical timeframe had expired and prepared to put his 'armor' back on to go talk to Gladio.

So he smiled back at the other's handsome face. "Tomorrow, text me when you're up and if you're not feeling well it can wait until another day." Ignis and his interest in this man weren't going anywhere.

"I'd rather not wait for you," Nida offers with a smile before slipping into his room and closing the door. Took him a while to stumble off to bed, but when he fell asleep, it was with a pleased smile on his face.

And in the morning he wakes up, hung over and aching and barely believing his dream. Until, of course, he fumbled his phone out to look at the time and saw that text from the night before.

To Ignis. A text to Ignis. From Ignis.

Was last night real?

As soon as Nida was safely inside, Ignis spoke to Gladio. And of course that involved having a drink and giving out a tidbit of information. But that got him drunk enough to call the day off for the Glaive so there were only volunteer shifts available that day.

And of course Ignis got Noct to agree to this plan via text message. So that effectively would give Nida a separate text message about that from the shield himself or the king.

In the morning (he'd barely slept) the advisor checked his text messages and saw one from Nida. He smiled broadly and replied.

Yes it was. And how are you feeling this morning?

[skyward_eyes]

My head is aching.

But he doesn't care. He wants to be awake, he wants to see Ignis.

Did you really agree to date me?

[faithfulsupport]

I'm sorry to hear you're feeling ill. I can send some healing potions to you if you're out of them.

[He wasn't going to invite himself over after all. But the next text had him laugh a little.]

I do believe so. However you're always free to ask me that question again in person.

[skyward_eyes]

I have some. I'm just not very free with the potions. They're pretty precious.

[He does roll from his bed and goes to find the potion to crack it. Yeah, that helps]

Well, I'd love to ask, but did we have plans?

[faithfulsupport]

I can help on that front should you have need of more of them.

But he's grabbing a few extra anyway.

And yes we did. Are you feeling up to that jaunt outside of the city? Or am I taking a rain check?

I don't wish to be a burden upon the supplies of the Citadel.

So kind of him to offer thought. Nida smiles and gets up to head to the bathroom to shower.

Oh no, I'm totally going. I haven't been out of the walls since the King took the throne.

I assure that isn't the case here.

And he sets the phone down a moment to make his coffee when the next text comes in.

Then what time should I come to collect you? Unless you'd prefer to simply meet me somewhere?

This was just in case Nida might get questions from other Glaive members about why Ignis was knocking on his door even if it was simply none of their business.

I need to shower and change, and then try and find some food. Guess I'll have to get back to you once I've had food.

He wasn't afraid of gossip. There had to be enough of it already.

That last part.

I can make you breakfast if you're up for it. There's no need for you to go in search of food. Unless your preference is to indeed hunt for it.

Far be it from Ignis to stop a man on a mission.

Give me thirty minutes to shower, change, and show up at your door? Is that okay?

Let him be close to you, Ignis. Please.

[faithfulsupport]

Ignis' reply came quickly.

I'll expect you in thirty minutes then.

And that's when he got moving on preparing breakfast.

I'm allergic to strawberries.

And with that, Nida puts his phone aside to throw himself into the shower. Once it's done he's getting out, and then he goes to find some nice clothes. Not a uniform, and he doesn't have much more than that. But he does find a dark blue shirt, some tight jeans, and with those he heads on up to Ignis's room.

Ignis nodded at the text and got ready. No strawberries, that could be handled without a problem.

But what to make.

Well he had eggs and sausage so the eggs got scrambled and as he was doing that, he remembered he had bacon. So that got cooked up as well along with the sausage. He had bread for toasting and just for fun (because he wanted to make sure there was plenty of food) Ignis made some square sized potatoes in a skillet too.

So all was ready by the time he opened the door and somehow kept himself from whistling at the handsome man in front of him.

Well, he could at least see from the look in Ignis's eyes that the guy appreciated how he looked. Nida smiled shyly and looked over Ignis.

"am I invited in?"
