Poetry, that wasn't something he'd ever heard about himself and he smiled. "I take it Gladio and I were sparring or training somehow?" He couldn't seem to recall what he'd been doing the first time he'd laid eyes on the man. But he did remember the ceremony and how handsome the other had looked.

Ignis was part of the Glaive so he tried to be there for as many inductions into the Glaive as there were since they'd been started by His Majesty King Regis. Obviously as many weren't needed anymore but it was still an honour to meet those that made the prestigious cut.

They were, and Nida smiled. He'd been... He'd been so beautiful.

Stunningly so. To the point where he would want to wrap his arms around Ignis. But it's better not to say much more. He'd embarrass himself. So instead he popped another tidbit into his mouth and smiled at Ignis.

"Walk with me?"

Ignis nodded, ready at once to get up. "Of course. So I'm walking you to your room then?" It was good to make sure to know where they were going. And now that Nida had his number, communication without other prying eyes would be far easier.

However, Gladio would be paid a visit proper tonight for the request.

"Yes," Nida decides with a smile. "If that's okay? Would you?"

"I'd be delighted." Ignis smiled. He didn't know whether or not to offer his arm, but if Nida stumbled or fell the man would get assistance right away from him. So he just made sure that he would keep time with the other's steps to ensure his safety.

The arm isn't offered, and Nida doesn't reach for it. But he does head back in with Ignis, hands off his dish to a collection bin, and moves out of the room. It's not until they're more away from prying eyes that Nida's composure fumbles a bit, and he stumbles half a step forward.

Ignis caught Nida after he stumbled and smiled. "I'll help you." So he ducked down and allowed the other to wrap an arm around his neck. "If you're comfortable this way, we can carry on."

It was inappropriate to be certain but since his own room was closer, that offer wasn't completely off of the table. He could sleep on the floor or in another room quite comfortably.

Oh, this is nice. Nida leans into Ignis as they walk onward. This is nice.

"We can carry on," Nida agrees. Of course he didn't know what Ignis meant.

"How far is it to your room?" His tone was one of an inquiry and not one of impatience. He was just genuinely curious because if it was much further he was going to insist not making that much of an effort with someone who was pretty inebriated. But he had to wait to find out.

"Two floors up, two hallways over," Nida explains, his voice a bit wavering. "Sorry. Too much drinking, to be brave."

"To be brave?" Ignis asked, wondering exactly what was meant by that. "I'd say you've been pretty forthcoming already this evening." And then he stopped. "And now I'm afraid it's my turn to be so bold. My room is closer than yours. So you can sleep on the bed and I will take the couch in the living room. It's much easier to get to."

And he didn't want to risk any injury here. "So if that's suitable enough, we'll head there instead."

Oh, playful talking was one thing. Actually doing things? That required some bravery. But now he's... fumbling. And nervous.

"My clothes aren't in your room," he points out.

"No they aren't." Ignis conceded. "However, it's less travelling. But if you prefer your room I'm more than happy to escort you there instead." He didn't want to be rude or pushy especially when it could seem like he was trying to take advantage of the situation and man himself which he clearly was not in either case.

However, Nida didn't know him so maybe it was just best to try and leave the decision making to the man he was supporting.

"My room," Nida agrees. Not waking up in his own bed would be more jarring than he could handle. It would feel... safer.

"As you wish." Ignis replied with a steadying breath. He saw some people as they passed by them to get to the elevator, but he had his advisor armor on and most people left him alone when he had that look to him.

Nida, however, wasn't really looking where they were going. His eyes were only for Ignis. And seeing the sternness of the advisor definitely made him frown.

"Did I upset you?"

That question shook him out of his work mode and he looked over at Nida. "No..not at all. Why do you ask?" It was odd that the man was wondering if he'd upset him. That absolutely wasn't the case and he just hoped that his resting mean face didn't throw the man off further.

"Your face was all angry," Nida explains, his fingers coming up to touch Ignis's face.

Resting mean face can be a problem.

Green eyes grew wide as Nida touched his face but it wasn't a bad thing. He'd merely been surprised and waited to see what would happen. In the end though Ignis just smiled and spoke softly. "I duly apologize for the confusion. I'm not angry at all, simply just concerned about getting you where it is that you wish to go."

"Oh," Nida says, sounding pleased. That's good to know.

"I think... I think I drank too much," he admits with a little giggle. Oops. It was really catching up now.

"Well you're excellent company." And if Nida hadn't been drinking, Ignis wouldn't have any of the insights he did. So at least on that count he was happy about it.

The elevator appeared and he pressed the door to close and the correct floor. It would probably be safest to see the man unlock his door and then Ignis would make his exit for the evening.

Then it was off to speak to Gladio.

Yes, that would be the safest. And the long walk to the door was one he was happy to have, because he could lean against Ignis, and it was nice. He felt supported. Really supported.

When they got to the door he fumbled out his keys and unlocked it. But he paused before heading in. Paused and he smiled.

"Ignis? Tomorrow?"

He did as he said he would and got Nida safely to his door. Once the keys hit the lock, the advisor knew his magical timeframe had expired and prepared to put his 'armor' back on to go talk to Gladio.

So he smiled back at the other's handsome face. "Tomorrow, text me when you're up and if you're not feeling well it can wait until another day." Ignis and his interest in this man weren't going anywhere.

"I'd rather not wait for you," Nida offers with a smile before slipping into his room and closing the door. Took him a while to stumble off to bed, but when he fell asleep, it was with a pleased smile on his face.

And in the morning he wakes up, hung over and aching and barely believing his dream. Until, of course, he fumbled his phone out to look at the time and saw that text from the night before.

To Ignis. A text to Ignis. From Ignis.

Was last night real?

As soon as Nida was safely inside, Ignis spoke to Gladio. And of course that involved having a drink and giving out a tidbit of information. But that got him drunk enough to call the day off for the Glaive so there were only volunteer shifts available that day.

And of course Ignis got Noct to agree to this plan via text message. So that effectively would give Nida a separate text message about that from the shield himself or the king.

In the morning (he'd barely slept) the advisor checked his text messages and saw one from Nida. He smiled broadly and replied.

Yes it was. And how are you feeling this morning?
