Ignis smiled. "I will come by late tomorrow morning say around eleven to give you time to sleep in."

Because possible hangovers.

"And then I will give you time to shower and change so we can hopefully be on our way about noon or we can have breakfast or lunch before we hit the road. While there when we get hungry we can stop again and still have you back in time."

Wow, that sounds like an amazing plan. And a perfect day.

"Sounds like a dream I've had. Just walking with you out under the sun."

Green eyes went slightly wide. "You've dreamed of me?" Well that was a high compliment and Ignis wasn't really sure how to react to that. But it was really quite flattering honestly.

"Might I ask how long ago the dream was?" Was it something recent, perhaps telling Nida about this match up?

Oh no. Oh no the words came out of his mouth. Nida actually stumbles a step, falling into Ignis, because he's so flustered. He swears, he's better on duty.

"I-I mean, uh, well... Can we pretend I didn't say that? It's weird, right? Dreaming about someone else?

If they weren't right in full view of everyone, Ignis would've kissed Nida to reassure him. But they were.

"It's quite alright, no harm done to anyone." That was the advisor's tone coming out, and it wasn't anything like his initial reaction. "I believe I'm quite flattered actually."

Flattered?

"I promise it wasn't anything improper. We were just walking in a field. ANd we went to sit under a tree in the sun, resting together."

So simple, so pure, so innocent. And so dear to his heart.

He let out a laugh and shook his head. "You can't help what you dream about." So if it was improper that's what it had been and either way Ignis wasn't going to judge the man. "That sounds rather lovely. Do you happen to know where precisely we were located? We could go there and do that."

It really did sound lovely, a chance for them to recharge their batteries which would be a well deserved rest.

Precisely? No, not at all.

"It was a dream. I think it was more an idealized tree," Nida offered as he regained his footing. "Dreams don't always make sense."

Ignis helped Nida as much as he could and smiled. "We'll have to leave the city in order to find such a tree." It was what he'd planned on anyway, but made even better by an 'excuse' to leave it behind them for a period of time.

"Leave the city?" Nida asks, a bit shocked. He hasn't been out of the city since they came back here. "I didn't know that was something you'd be interested in."

Still, he isn't saying no. At all.

"It could be nice."

"It would be rather conductive to spending quality time together." If Ignis remained in the city, it would be far too easy for Noct to get him to come back to the Citadel for one reason or another. This way they could spend plenty of time uninterrupted with scheduled permitting.

But Ignis was no fool with this either, he knew that if he wanted to have a relationship he had to make time for it.

"Quality," Nida muses. "And here I'm eager for quantity too."

As much as he can get a piece of. He just wanted to be close.

"Sorry. I've had the worst crush for a long time."

"We'll certainly be able to do both." came the advisor's reply. This was fun and exciting, planning ahead on future things. The admission about the crush was sweet and Ignis smiled shyly. "You've no need to apologize."

Was he just..no he wasn't oblivious, but he'd had so much to do and..life got in the way.

And yet he's apologizing anyway. That said, he was absolutely oblivious. Because Nida had tried to make sure of it, way back when.

"I'm going to anyway. It makes this all feel like a dream."

Ignis moved them away from the others and looked into Nida's eyes. "We've kissed out on the balcony and have danced quite a bit." A small smile appeared after a moment. "And yet you're still convinced you're dreaming?"

"Yes," Nida assures him, smiling that little bit up at Ignis. His eyes, Astrals they are so impossibly beautiful. "Because it's happening. Something I've wanted for years, and didn't dare hope for."

After slightly laughing self consciously, Ignis shook his head. "I'm just a person, same as you." Titles and all that aside, he really wasn't all that important in the grand scheme of things. Their mission had been successful and it all worked out as it had been planned. That of course didn't count for all the improvisations they'd had to do but it was all done.

Time for new things and new experiences and feelings.

"A beautiful person," Nida agrees, his voice filled with amusement. Not words he would have said sober of course.

"You are stunning."

"Then I will indeed remind you of those words but I thank you for the kindness in them." Like if he got aggravated with Ignis or something. And he wished he could get Nida off of the topic of himself, it wasn't a comfortable subject at least in his own eyes.

And since they were on the dance floor, still in full view of everyone he couldn't even break it with a kiss. "Thank you for believing that of me. Would you like to take a break for a few moments?" More like he really wanted to walk with Nida and talk to him more without worrying about the audience.

Oh. He said them. Nida's flushed with embarrassment. He said it.

"Yes," he says, a bit flustered. "A break would be nice. Food, too."

"Splendid." Ignis smiled. That flustered face was adorable and the advisor chose to refrain from walking hand in hand with the man. Instead he simply walked beside as they headed over to get food.

Of course he was aware of Prompto's looming presence wanting to get the scoop for the boys. But one look of the green eyes in the photographer's direction was enough to convey the message of not to bother them. Ignis didn't want any of them scaring this gentleman off even if accidentally.

And naturally he let Nida get his food first.

Nida strolled casually at the other man's side, and tries not to be too nervous. But his steps aren't as steady as they had been. If only he could, you know, go back and get rid of the drink.

"Thanks," Nida says as he starts gathering things onto a plate. But not too much of one. He doesn't want to eat too much.

"Of course." Ignis smiled. He wondered what this was going to be like in the morning. And while he didn't like the idea of liquid courage so to speak, he was grateful that he got some insight as to how Nida thought and felt. If that hadn't been added, who knew how long it might take to hear words such as he was hearing tonight.

The two might even still be playing cat and mouse as they had been earlier tonight.

It was definitely going to be an adventure, wasn't it? The morning could change so many things. And, at the same time, it might change nothing.

"So, where now?" Nida asks, with a plate filled.

"Let's go back to the balcony and away from so many eyes." Ignis suggested, sliding emerald daggers at Gladio. Honestly the lads were standing around gawking at him like they'd never seen him dance before in his life.
