"How kind of you," he smiles at Ignis, almost adoringly. So nice to hear it all. "I might like that. Driving. Dining."

Time with Ignis. Yes, that would all be great.

"If you give me a time, we can set it up. Although tomorrow you may wish to sleep in instead." Depending on Nida having a hangover or something along those lines. And while Ignis was one to plan, his companion might have issues at being an early riser for one day. And the advisor of course wasn't looking forward to having to deal with nosey though well intentioned friends.

Give him time? He'll try. A lot. But he still wasn't certain that the man would really be there in the morning.

"Sleep is nice, but you're nicer."

Ignis' face turned slightly red though he fought to maintain his composure. "As are you for the compliment." Nice? No one said that about him. It never occurred to him to mind before, but why was this coming from this handsome man? Why had he not heard it before? Well it didn't matter, the lads didn't have to tell him that.

He would've simply brushed it off anyhow.

But somehow with this he didn't want to. He wanted these words to just simply sink in and stay.

The lads should have told him that. Should have told Ignis he was amazing.

"Dancing with you is like flying over the ground," Nida whispers.

Ignis lifted his head in time to hear that compliment and his face almost got too close. "Well in that case, I shall have to make certain we have plenty more chances to dance after tonight."

There was an invitation in there somewhere.

Plenty more chances, huh?

"Breakfast and lunch and driving and dancing? Ignis, I might think you're romantically interested in me. Which would make me melt."

Okay so at this point his face is almost completely red. "Well..not all in the same day mind you.." He was trying to deflect but failing badly at it. But as to how to answer that last part, it flustered him pretty well.

"Your way of thinking isn't..incorrect after all."

"I'm a puddle," Nida assures the other man. But he's tipsy, so maybe the words shouldn't be valid. But he likes it anyway.

"So what can I expect tomorrow?"

Ignis smiled. "I will come by late tomorrow morning say around eleven to give you time to sleep in."

Because possible hangovers.

"And then I will give you time to shower and change so we can hopefully be on our way about noon or we can have breakfast or lunch before we hit the road. While there when we get hungry we can stop again and still have you back in time."

Wow, that sounds like an amazing plan. And a perfect day.

"Sounds like a dream I've had. Just walking with you out under the sun."

Green eyes went slightly wide. "You've dreamed of me?" Well that was a high compliment and Ignis wasn't really sure how to react to that. But it was really quite flattering honestly.

"Might I ask how long ago the dream was?" Was it something recent, perhaps telling Nida about this match up?

Oh no. Oh no the words came out of his mouth. Nida actually stumbles a step, falling into Ignis, because he's so flustered. He swears, he's better on duty.

"I-I mean, uh, well... Can we pretend I didn't say that? It's weird, right? Dreaming about someone else?

If they weren't right in full view of everyone, Ignis would've kissed Nida to reassure him. But they were.

"It's quite alright, no harm done to anyone." That was the advisor's tone coming out, and it wasn't anything like his initial reaction. "I believe I'm quite flattered actually."

Flattered?

"I promise it wasn't anything improper. We were just walking in a field. ANd we went to sit under a tree in the sun, resting together."

So simple, so pure, so innocent. And so dear to his heart.

He let out a laugh and shook his head. "You can't help what you dream about." So if it was improper that's what it had been and either way Ignis wasn't going to judge the man. "That sounds rather lovely. Do you happen to know where precisely we were located? We could go there and do that."

It really did sound lovely, a chance for them to recharge their batteries which would be a well deserved rest.

Precisely? No, not at all.

"It was a dream. I think it was more an idealized tree," Nida offered as he regained his footing. "Dreams don't always make sense."

Ignis helped Nida as much as he could and smiled. "We'll have to leave the city in order to find such a tree." It was what he'd planned on anyway, but made even better by an 'excuse' to leave it behind them for a period of time.

"Leave the city?" Nida asks, a bit shocked. He hasn't been out of the city since they came back here. "I didn't know that was something you'd be interested in."

Still, he isn't saying no. At all.

"It could be nice."

"It would be rather conductive to spending quality time together." If Ignis remained in the city, it would be far too easy for Noct to get him to come back to the Citadel for one reason or another. This way they could spend plenty of time uninterrupted with scheduled permitting.

But Ignis was no fool with this either, he knew that if he wanted to have a relationship he had to make time for it.

"Quality," Nida muses. "And here I'm eager for quantity too."

As much as he can get a piece of. He just wanted to be close.

"Sorry. I've had the worst crush for a long time."

[faithfulsupport]

"We'll certainly be able to do both." came the advisor's reply. This was fun and exciting, planning ahead on future things. The admission about the crush was sweet and Ignis smiled shyly. "You've no need to apologize."

Was he just..no he wasn't oblivious, but he'd had so much to do and..life got in the way.

And yet he's apologizing anyway. That said, he was absolutely oblivious. Because Nida had tried to make sure of it, way back when.

"I'm going to anyway. It makes this all feel like a dream."

Ignis moved them away from the others and looked into Nida's eyes. "We've kissed out on the balcony and have danced quite a bit." A small smile appeared after a moment. "And yet you're still convinced you're dreaming?"

"Yes," Nida assures him, smiling that little bit up at Ignis. His eyes, Astrals they are so impossibly beautiful. "Because it's happening. Something I've wanted for years, and didn't dare hope for."
